Everyone in Agnes Teacher's 2nd grade writing class, please reply to this blog post with your student number, name and a link to your blog URL or domain.
You found some good sources so far, but need to explore more. Also, use your own words when under the "notes" section and you need to add what your final thoughts are.
2 points The first draft is thoughtful and a good start to an effective persuasive essay. It demonstrates an understanding of the classical argument.
You have a legitimate classical argument. But remember that you are writing to the general audience who may not know what "normative models" are. So define in layman's terms what they are.
Use the research templates to document your sources and take notes. You also need to explain the research in your own words, not just copy and paste it.
Thank you for commentary, but I didn't just rely on wikis :) If you take a look at my blog more closely, you'll find where I searched information, the sources. Also, most of my "notes" have been written in my own words :)
2 points The first draft is thoughtful and a good start to an effective persuasive essay. It demonstrates an understanding of the classical argument.
Your first draft looks good. But, can you make your thesis more concise? It looks more like a piece of advice than an argument. You might want to restate your thesis statement to something like, "Loving another person is not inherent: It is learned."
2 points The first draft is thoughtful and a good start to an effective persuasive essay. It demonstrates an understanding of the classical argument.
Your essay looks good. But, you need more work on refutation and concession. You really need to state what your opponents would say. Would they say, Japanese education should not be implemented in Korea? Or that we should implement a different country's education system (not of Japan).
You need to use the research template when you document your sources as it is done here: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/2014/08/research-example-818-100-facts-you.html
2 points The first draft is thoughtful and a good start to an effective persuasive essay. It demonstrates an understanding of the classical argument.
You are on the right track. However, you need to work more on your introduction. You don't want to mention the example of your brother in introduction. And also, are you suggesting that parents learn to use the internet in the intro? If you are, then don't mention it in the intro. It belongs in the narration or confirmation.
You need to document the sources using the research template: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/2014/08/research-example-818-100-facts-you.html
2 points: The first draft is thoughtful and a good start to an effective persuasive essay. It demonstrates an understanding of the classical argument.
Excellent! Your first draft is very impressive... However, your conclusion is a little weak compared to the rest of your essay (although it is still good). Just work on your conclusion a bit and you'll be fine.
Use the research templates to document the sources you are using: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/2014/08/research-example-818-100-facts-you.html
2 points The first draft is thoughtful and a good start to an effective persuasive essay. It demonstrates an understanding of the classical argument.
You did a good job on your first draft. But as I was reading your essay, I was a little confused about whether you were supporting the idea of learning how to play an instrument or just listening to music. They can be two different source for your argument, so don't jumble them up into one paragraph. And don't forget to indent! You also might want to stick to one font.
0 points You only have copy and pasted the resource information. You need to explain the research in your own words by taking notes and adding final thoughts. Take a look at this example here: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/2014/08/research-example-818-100-facts-you.html
Were you able to find any relevant or reliable sources? I know you were having trouble with this one... If you can't find any source soon you might have to change your thesis.
You need to explain the research in your own words in the "notes" section of the research post and add what you derived from the source as your final thought.
Use the research templates to document the sources you are using as in the example here: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/search/label/example
You can't just copy and paste from the source. Explain the research in your own words and add your final thoughts to it. http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/search/label/example
The marshmallow test is irrelevant to your thesis because it is a test of character, not their preference for sweets. You also need to use the research template to document the sources you are using as in this example: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/search/label/example
Did you change your topic from suggestive advertisements to social faith? Then you need to document the sources you are using following this example: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/search/label/example
Don't just copy and paste the resource information. You need to explain the research in your own words and add what you derived from the source as your final thought. http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/search/label/example
You have only copy and pasted the resource information. You need to explain the research in your own words: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/search/label/example
You also need to change your thesis. First of all, you're not taking any position in saying, "Is the internet good or bad?" If you choose "Internet is good (or bad)" as your topic, it is too broad. You need to narrow down the thesis.
You need to explain the main ideas that were discussed in the sources, instead of just writing what is about. For example, instead of just writing "What is netizen's duty", you could write, "It is the netizen's duty to ..." in your notes.
You need to explain the main ideas from the source in the "notes." Although wikis are useful, you might want to find other reliable sources for your research.
Your thesis is not good for a persuasive essay because it is more of a research essay. You need to change your thesis so that you can also find counter-arguments to your thesis.
Can you think of a counter-argument to your thesis, "Although cloning technology has been developed, it is not enough to make human clone. That process needs more elaborated technology." ? No, because this is a fact and we all agree to what you are saying. I think you should change your thesis.
First of all, your font should be white if the background is black. Second, you have only copy and pasted the resource information. You need to explain the research in your own words and add what you derived from the source as a final thought.
Where are the sources that you need for your research? You need to find sources and document them: http://samteachersperformancetest.blogspot.kr/search/label/example
